Jackzebra is one of the newer rising artists in the Chinese Rap scene, collaborating with people from the western scene like Lucy Bedroque and Evilgiane. This is a short four-song EP that dropped on New Year's, 2024.
How do you know is a great intro, showing off the appeal of this era of his music. The rapping is melodic and slurred paired with cold Trap beats. Translating the lyrics, they vary in themes but are often suprisingly thoughtful. He strikes a good balance between more conventional writing and the more introspective side.

It's interesting to hear music that reflects a very different reality than Western Rap. Jackzebra and others help bridge the gap of scenes while keeping their uniqueness.
The Bow is Stretched of course goes by quickly because of how short it is, but regardless it's a fun release. His full-length releases are even better, which I'll get around to reviewing sometime too. The best song is the one whose lyrics I quoted.
